What a Mopar® Air Cleaner Assembly Does
Your Jeep, Dodge, FIAT, Chrysler, or RAM vehicle's original air cleaner assembly helps to keep abrasive particles in the air from entering the engine and causing damage to the components or contaminating the air/fuel mixture that fuels combustion. By filtering these elements out, the air cleaner ensures that your engine feeds on clean air.
What's in A Mopar® Air Cleaner Assembly?
The air cleaner assembly consists of an air filter and an air filter housing. It is usually found above or next to the carburetor or throttle body.
The housing is typically made from plastic or metal and has a removable lid to allow easy access to the filter. The air cleaner assembly itself can be made of paper, foam, cotton or oil bath. Paper is most common and offered excellent filtering efficiency. The other types are more limited in their applications.
